EMW 2's v Aldershot 4's

Skip Foreman won the toss and elected to bat on a very warm day at Aldershot. A tight opening spell restricted Easton to 29 runs off 10 and 51 off 20 overs. The score was doubled to 103 off 30 and Easton reached 176 off their 42 overs primarily due to a fantastic innings of 55 by Angus Macleod which included a well struck 12 fours and excellent support from Paul Sanders ( 35 ), debutant George Petrie ( 22 ) and Ethan Brackstone ( 11 ).

Ethan Brackstone and Zac Mitchell opened the bowling and Aldershot were 39 for 3 off their first 10 overs with Zac Mitchell bowling brilliantly and having 3 for 22 off 5 overs. Batsmen number 4 ( Harris ) and number 5 ( Grover ) then built a winning partnership of 90 with Harris hitting 57 before being bowled by a returning Zac Mitchell. Grover went on to score 61 not out and Birch chipped in with an unbeaten 22. Zac Mitchell took all the wickets that fell ending up with 4 for 55 off 10 overs.

Aldershot took 23 and Easton 8 points in the match.
