Oweslebury 119 for 5 from 12 overs
E&MWCC Academy 120 for 5 from 11.4 overs.
The Academy Made a shaky start with the ball as Oweslebury cruised to 75 for no wicket. However, the young bowling attack began to regain their confidence seeing them hit back in the last 4 overs taking 5 wickets and holding Oweslebury to 119. A solid final over by Adam Lobb saw two wickets fall for 1 run and induced a run out.
Needing 120 at 10 an over Martin Hall and Seb Stanard batted steadily with Hall retiring at 25 and Stanard reaching 22. Matt, Tom and Sam kept up with the rate but there was a clatter of runout which left us 5 wickets down with Hall to bat out the last 2 over for the 17 runs needed which he did with 2 balls to spare.
With 3 wins out of 6 the Academy is on track to have a winning season with just one game left to play against Longparish 3rd VI on 27th January.
